感覺這劇在當年雷同泛濫的狗血武俠劇中還是挺別具一格的。愛憎鮮明，恩怨糾葛，大喜大悲，大起大落。女主是冷冰冰的殺手。還有偏執激烈的百合箭頭。

在提到Terry和Korvo的關係時，編劇之一的McMahan說：“I do think that it's fun where we write them somewhere in between co-parents and team leaders and people who will occasionally when they get drunk, kiss by accident. They're somewhere between married and just super best friends and it's a funny area to have them in because the baseline can change.” 以及這劇蠢得深得我心。
